[:en]umsida.ac.id- (18/10) Umsida visited Sumbergedang Village, Pandaan, Pasuruan, which was the location of the KKN Umsida two years ago. Deputy Chancellor I Hana Catur Wahyuni, MT along with Vice Chancellor III Eko Hardiansyah, M Psi, Psychologist, Director of Cooperation Hasan Ubaidillah, SE, MM and Community Service Division Rahman Dijaga, S Kom, M Kom were received directly by the local village head. Umsida’s visit this time was in the context of exploring cooperation in the development of the village tourism sector. On his occasion, Niam Sofie, the local Village Head said, “We are very grateful to Umsida students who have facilitated villagers to discover tourism potentials that we have never realized so far,” he concluded in starting a discussion with the Umsida Team.
The Umsida team was invited to see directly the tourist sites which in their development have now become a vehicle for flower garden tours and rafting tours. The discussion on the opportunity for cooperation in developing a tourism village between Umsida and Sumbergedang Village was very open and immediately followed up by seeking innovation in its development. “Very large development opportunities that can be established through collaboration between Umsida and Sumbergedang Village in terms of capacity building, branding and not closing the possibility of investing in new tourism opportunities,” said Eko Hardiansyah, M.Psi, Psychologist, Appreciation of the amount also given to students of Community Service Community Umsida because has successfully interpreted the potential for KKN locations to be what they are now as Umsida wanted to develop.
