Peran akademisi dalam pembangunan daerah sangat diperlukan terutama dalam sektor pengaplikasian teknologi berkelanjutan melalui pendekatan sosiokultural. Ini adalah pesan yang disampaikan oleh Bupati Sidoarjo Saiful Illah dalam acara pelepasan mahasiswa KKN yang bertajuk “Pembekalan dan Pemberangkatan Mahasiswa KKN Terpadu Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjon 2019″ pada hari Rabu (1/8) di auditorium KH Ahmad Dahlan Univeristas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (UMSIDA).
Pada kesempatan tersebut, Saiful Illah menjelaskan bahwa pencapaian kesuksesan pemerintah daerah dalam membangun Sidoarjo didukung oleh peran serta para akademisi.”Terdapat sinergi yang tak bisa dipisahkan dalam pembangunan masyarakat, yaitu sinergi pemerintah, akademisi dan masyarakat,” ujarnya dihadapan 800 mahassiwa UMSIDA dari berbagai program studi. Ia pun menambahkan bahwa hal ini telah dilakukan di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. “Program KKN ini selaras dengan pencapaian pembangunan, pemerintah daerah memberikan umpan kepada pihak akademisi untuk berperan aktif dalam pembangunan kabupaten Sidoarjo,” pungkasnya.
Saiful Illah menambahkah bahwa peserta kegiatan KKN Terpadu ini diharapkan cerdas dan mengetahui keadaan sosial di masyarakat. Termasuk di dalamnya adalah mampu menyikapi kemajemukan masayarakat. Sehingga nantinya mampu menciptakan sinergitas antara mahasiswa dan pemerintah daerah. Dimana tidak hanya masyarakat saja yang membutuhkan kehadiran mahasiswa dalam pengaplikasian ilmunya.
Selaras dengan pernyataan Bupati Sidoarjo, Rektor UMSIDA menerangkan bahwa Program KKN yang diadakan UMSIDA adalah dalam rangka melatih kemandirian dan mendewasakan pola pikir mahasiswa untuk menyelesaikan berbagai masalah yang ada di masyarakat. “Dukungan pihak Akademisi terhadap pembangunan Sidoarjo melalui program KKN diharapkan mampu menciptakan sinergitas antara pemerintah daerah dengan pihak akademisi yang dalam hal ini adalah mahasiswa,” kata Rektor UMSIDA Dr. Hidayataulloh, M.Si. “Dengan cakupan 50 daerah wilayah KKN, pembangunan dapat dilakukan oleh para mahasiswa ini melalui beberapa aspek termasuk pelatihan pengembangan kemampuan soft skill yang nantinya mampu menciptakan industri ekonomi kreatif. Selain itu, mendukung pemerintah Sidoarjo dalam kehidupan sosial melalui program-program yang dirancang para mahasiswa di lokasi KKN.
Bagi mahasiswa pelaksanaan KKN terpadu kali ini memiliki harapan tersendiri. Salah satunya Arum, mahasiswi Program Studi Administrasi Publik angkatan 2016 mengatakan,”Semoga KKN terpadu ini membantu saya dalam meningkatkan kompetensi kerja”. Hal yang berlainan disampaikan oleh Sherla Mahasiswi angkatan 2016 program studi Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi, ia berharap agar KKN kali ini mampu memberikan nilai tambah bagi masyarakat di lokasi tempat dia melaksanakan KKN. Sebelum melepas mahasiswa KKN terpadu UMSIDA, orang nomor satu di Sidoarjo tersebut berpesan jika mahasiswa mampu memberikan masukan terkait dengan pengembangan Sidoarjo. ” Kekurangan di daerah KKN perlu disampaikan kepada pemerintah” pungkasnya. Hal ini bertujuan agar pembangunan menyeluruh bisa dilaksanakan dengan baik. On this occasion, Saiful Illah explained that the success of the regional government in developing Sidoarjo was supported by the participation of academics. “There is a synergy that cannot be separated in community development, namely the synergy of government, academics and society,” he said before 800 UMSIDA students from various programs studies. He also added that this had been done in Sidoarjo Regency. “This KKN program is in line with the achievement of development, the local government provides feedback to the academics to play an active role in the development of Sidoarjo district,” he concluded.
Saiful Illah adds that the participants of the Integrated KKN activities are expected to be smart and know the social conditions in the community. This includes being able to address the diversity of the community. So that later it will be able to create synergy between students and the local government. Where not only the community needs the presence of students in the application of their knowledge.
In line with the statement of the Regent of Sidoarjo, the Chancellor of UMSIDA explained that the KKN Program held by UMSIDA was in order to train independence and mature the mindset of students to solve various problems that existed in the community. “Academic support for the development of Sidoarjo through the KKN program is expected to be able to create synergy between the regional government and academics who in this case are students,” said the Chancellor of UMSIDA Dr. Hidayataulloh, M.Sc. “With the coverage of 50 KKN areas, development can be carried out by these students through several aspects including training in developing soft skills abilities which will be able to create a creative economy industry. For students the implementation of integrated KKN this time has its own hopes. One of them is Arum, a 2016 Public Administration Study Program student, who said, “Hopefully this integrated KKN will help me in improving work competencies”. Different things were conveyed by Sherla Student of the 2016 Information Technology Education program, she hoped that this time KKN would be able to provide added value to the community in the location where she conducted the Community Service Program. Before releasing students from the integrated KKN UMSIDA, the number one person in Sidoarjo advised if students were able to provide input related to the development of Sidoarjo. “Deficiencies in the KKN area need to be conveyed to the government,” he concluded.
