[:id]Dalam rangka mewujudkan kompetensi mahasiswa yang sesuai bidangnya disertai dengan skill yang mumpuni, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (UMSIDA) menjalin kerjasama dengan salah satu Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) PT Barata Indonesia (Persero), Rabu (11/09/2019). Kerjasama ini merupakan salah satu dari pelaksanaan Program Magang Mahasiswa Bersertifikat bagi mahassiwa UMSIDA.
Penandatanganan nota kesepahaman oleh Rektor UMSIDA Dr. Hidayatulloh, M.Si dengan Direktur Utama Barata Indonesia, Oksarlidady Arifin, dan lembaga vokasi lainnya dilangsungkan pada acara peresmian Workshop baru Heavy Machining Center (HMC) di kawasan kantor pusat perseroan, Gresik, Jawa Timur.
Mahasiswa nantinya akan diberi kesempatan magang pada HMC yang difungsikan untuk peningkatan produksi balance of plant produk pembangkit listrik. Selain itu HMC ini untuk menjadi area fabrikasi dan assembly produk konstruksi bervolume tinggi, seperti Pressure Vessel, Komponen Energi Terbarukan (Wind Power), Bullet Tank, Komponen/Body Kapal Selam, Crane Pelabuhan, Kiln, dan lainnya.
Peresmian HMC tersebut langsung dihadiri oleh Menteri BUMN RI, Rini M. Soemarno beserta jajaran pejabat eselon 1 Kementerian BUMN serta turut dihadiri para Direktur Utama Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN).
Pasca penandatangan nota kesepahaman, Dr. Hidayatulloh mengatakan bahwa ke depan diharapkan semakin banyak mahasiswa UMSIDA yg mengambil kesempatan magang bersertifikat yang telah ada, salah satunya dengan PT Barata Indonesia ini.
“Dengan magang ini akan meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa sesuai bidangnya, sehingga mereka nanti betul-betul memiliki skills yg sangat bagus dan bekerja dengan kompetensi yg sesuai, sehingga mampu meningkatkan produktivitas yg unggul dan kompetitif,” ungkap Dr. hidayatulloh, M.Si.
“Kerjasama ini merupakan bagian tak terpisahkan dari ikhtiar mewujudkan visi umsida “menjadi perguruan tinggi unggul dan inovatif dalam pengembangan ipteks berdasarkan nilai2 Islam untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat,” ujarnya menambahkan.
Dalam peresmian tersebut, Rini M Soemarno mengatakan bahwa workshop Heavy Machine Center milik Barata Indonesia tersebut merupakan bentuk sinergi antar BUMN untuk mendukung kemajuan Industri nasional.
Sebagai informasi, dalam pembangunan workshop HMC tersebut, Barata Indonesia menggandeng tiga perusahaan BUMN yakni PT Boma Bisma Indra (Persero) sebagai kontraktor, PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk sebagai pemasok baja serta PT Len Industri (Persero) untuk mengerjakan PLTS rooftop kapasitas 500 KWp. “Saya berharap dengan diresmikannya Workshop baru milik Barata ini merupakan salah satu bentuk peran perusahaan BUMN dalam peningkatkan kemajuan industri tanah air,” kata Rini Sumarno.
Direktur Utama Barata Indonesia, Oksarlidady Arifin berharap dengan adanya HMC, Barata Indonesia menjadi Perusahaan manufaktur berskala global dan terus aktif partisipasi dalam pembangunan infrastruktur dalam negeri.
Diharapkan kerjasama antara UMSIDA dan PT Barata Indonesia ini semakin meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa UMSIDA sehingga mampu mewujudkan masyarakat yang sejahtera. This collaboration is one of the implementation of the Certified Student Internship Program for UMSIDA students.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding by the Chancellor of UMSIDA Dr. Hidayatulloh, M.Si with the Managing Director of Barata Indonesia, Oksarlidady Arifin, and other vocational institutions took place at the inauguration of the new Heavy Machining Center (HMC) Workshop in the company’s headquarters, Gresik, East Java.
Students will be given the opportunity of an apprenticeship at an HMC that functions to increase the production of the balance of plant for power generation products. Besides this HMC is for fabrication and assembly areas of high-volume construction products, such as Pressure Vessels, Renewable Energy Components (Wind Power), Bullet Tanks, Submarine Components / Bodies, Port Cranes, Kilns, and others.
The inauguration of the HMC was immediately attended by the Minister of BUMN RI, Rini M. Soemarno along with the echelon 1 officials of the Ministry of SOEs and also attended by the Directors of the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
After signing the memorandum of understanding, Dr. Hidayatulloh said that in the future it is hoped that more UMSIDA students will take the opportunity of existing certified internships, one of which is with PT Barata Indonesia.
“This internship will improve student competencies according to their fields, so that they will really have excellent skills and work with appropriate competencies, so as to increase superior and competitive productivity,” said Dr. hidayatulloh, M.Sc.
“This collaboration is an inseparable part of the effort to realize the vision of the umsida” to become a superior and innovative university in the development of science and technology based on Islamic values for the welfare of society, “he added.
In the inauguration, Rini M Soemarno said that the Barata Indonesia’s Heavy Machine Center workshop was a form of synergy between SOEs to support the progress of the national industry.
For information, in the construction of the HMC workshop, Barata Indonesia took three state-owned companies namely PT Boma Bisma Indra (Persero) as a contractor, PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk as a steel supplier and PT Len Industri (Persero) to work on a rooftop PLTS with a capacity of 500 KWp . “I hope that the inauguration of Barata’s new Workshop will be a form of the role of state-owned enterprises in enhancing the progress of the country’s industry,” said Rini Sumarno.
Barata Indonesia’s Managing Director Oksarlidady Arifin hopes that with the HMC, Barata Indonesia will become a global scale manufacturing company and will continue to actively participate in domestic infrastructure development.
It is hoped that this collaboration between UMSIDA and PT Barata Indonesia will further enhance the competencies of UMSIDA students so as to create a prosperous society. (adji)[:]
